Originally from the Eastern Cape village of Cala, Sakhisizwe municipality, South Africa Ama Qamata aka Amamkele Qamata plays the lead role of 16-year-old Puleng Khumalo, a teenager who is on a mission to uncover the truth about the cold case of her older sister who was never found after being abducted at birth in the upcoming Netflix webseries "Blood & Water". Ama Qamata's first acting role was as Naledi in the SABC1 sitcom My Perfect Family in 2016.
The talented youngster then went on to have a recurring role as Thandi in the soap opera, Rhythm City, in 2018.
